To celebrate Children and Nature Awareness month, we are launching our camp blog in support of the initiative by Children and Nature Network called “Let’s G(et) O(utside)!” For the 30 days of April, we want to have a conversation with you specifically focused on why Camp is a unique place to get outside. We’ll get the conversation started by suggesting an activity related to camp each day to get kids (of all ages!) outside and by sharing about the people, the wildlife, and structures that make Camp Westminster on Higgins Lake a special place to spend time outdoors. By the end of the month, we hope everyone will join us in saying, “Let’s go to camp!”

Today’s Activity: Take a walk to camp from wherever you are located on this first day of April. We’ll keep the light on and start warming up the Lake for you 😉

***While Children and Nature Awareness month is real, we hope you enjoyed our April Fool’s twist on today’s activity. We still encourage you to join us wherever you are to take a walk!

Let’s go to camp!

Thank you for joining us for Children and Nature Awareness month and the launch of the Camp Westminster on Higgins Lake Blog in April...

Got a good book?

Reading a good book may not be the first activity to come to mind when you think of summer camp. But it does occur- we see staff reading...
