A perspective from the assistant director, Elise…What good is submitting an evaluation or completing an online survey if nobody listens to the suggestions made? We ask the same question and we listen to the feedback we receive. Camp Westminster has a suggestion box available all summer in the Dining Hall and written evaluations are handed out to campers all summer long. Questions about activities, staff, food, the site and more give us a glimpse of the impact Camp has on so many lives- and also some ideas about how to make the experience even better! As one example, Family Camp is longer and in August this year: Aug. 14-19, 2011. Families asked for more time to decompress away from life at home. They asked for a time in August, when Higgins Lake is generally warmer and the stars in the night sky are plentiful. They asked for more days to boat on Higgins Lake. We listened and we made a change! Families of all kinds- singles, grandparents, young adults with young children, aunts and uncles have enjoyed the respite that Family Camp provides.Do you have vacation plans in August? Why not bring your family- all ages are welcome- to the shores of Higgins Lake? We promise yummy food; quiet time by the lake; activity- climb, sail, hike; homemade pie and handchurned ice cream; beautiful outdoor worship; fellowship with others; and more. Come to the water and renew!
