Sailing on Higgins
The strong gusts of wind in Michigan today provided a reminder of how we depend on the wind during sailing camp. On days when the wind is too strong or there is a lack of it, sailing on the lake may be stalled. Fortunately, there is still plenty to learn on land. The other days are perfect. On these days when campers and staff set sail, it makes the feeling of sunshine and wind on crystal-clear Higgins Lake all the more breathtaking. In many ways, this is a metaphor for life. We are so grateful for this lake that is the setting for many sailors’ memories.
Activity: Unless you already own your own, research the location of the nearest boat rental. Then, plan a daytrip.
