Join our fun-loving US Sailing trained instructors as they set sail on Higgins Lake each afternoon! For new sailors or beginners who wish to learn how to rig a boat, sailing theory, and the basics of sailing: achieve your beginning sailing rank during this camp. This is also a great opportunity for intermediate sailors to sharpen their skills. (Campers must pass a swim test to participate fully in the sailing program).

Radical Faith (Completed grade 9)

[Year 1 of LifeWorks]

We believe that positive leadership is grounded in faith. Spend time at CW exploring the qualities of a servant leader and growing spiritually among a welcoming community. Learn how a growing faith can guide you through life’s challenges and help you navigate these exciting years of your life. You will have the opportunity to test these lessons on a 3-day out trip along the Au Sable River—paddle, camp, hike, swim, laugh, reflect, and grow with new friends. Will you rise to the challenge and embark on the LifeWorks journey at Camp Westminster? Come and see what God has in store for you.

Campfire Cafe

We know how many of our campers love to cook! Come for this session and learn to cook over fires, in Dutch ovens, in solar ovens, in underground ovens (mmm, bread anyone?), make ice cream and use fresh food from the camp garden pots! Stay in Rustic in platform tents and learn to set up a wilderness “kitchen” using the new Wilderness Expedition Pavilion! You still get to climb, swim, boat and create too. Sounds like a tasty week, doesn’t it?

Wet ‘n WildIMG_1060

Come north and cool down during the hot days of July. Volley the ball over the net in the lake and sing around the campfire! Arts & crafts, sports and archery too! Hone your paddling skills during a canoe trip on the beautiful Au Sable River.

For strong swimmers who want to complete a pre-lifeguard program sponsored by the American Red Cross, work on your swim strokes, learn safe conduct in the water, water rescue and first aid. Crucial skills for any lifeguard-in-training! The best part about this week is that you still get to enjoy all the fun and social times that CW offers too! Please note: Camper must demonstrate adequate swimming ability to complete the Guard Start portion of the program.
